John I. Foster, III, MD, FACS

A Board Certified former Navy fighter pilot
Offering over 20 years experience in
Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Surgery.

An orthopaedic surgeon specializing in Sports
medicine, Dr. Foster is the founder of
Atlanta-based Dominion Orthopaedic Clinic.
After earning his MD from the University of
Virginia, Dr. Foster completed his residency at
Portsmouth Naval Hospital and received
advanced training in sports medicine and
joint replacement. With 20 years experience,
he is well versed in the treatment of the full
range of orthopaedic conditions in adults and
children including arthroscopic and open
surgery of the shoulder and knee as well as of
the hand and upper extremity. After attaining
the rank of captain, Dr. Foster retired from the
Navy having served as a fighter pilot and the
Naval Academy Prep School Team
Orthopaedist. He has been in private practice
in Atlanta since 1994.
